Wells Area Quilt Depicts Town History For Wells
More than 25 Wells area women worked since last September on a 91 square inch handmade quilt to honor the town s history. Coordinated by Eugenie Sotiropoulos-Foss the piece features 17th to 19th century Wells and present day life including a coastline square sewn by Virginia Sawyer and a schooner square tied to Capt. D Bragdon. The quilt will be presented to the Wells selectmen and hang at the town hall with postcards planned to raise funds for glass framing.
