Miss Ella Mittehler of Decatur visited her friend May Glaus in Linn Grove for several days. Mrs. S Lehman of Denver and Mrs. W Dreibelbiss of Fort Wayne were guests of Mrs. Anta Glatts and family for a few days last week.
Robert L Foreman living four miles east of Berne turned 54 on Sunday May 21. His wife and family organized a morning surprise then relatives visited at the Passon farm home. Attending were Wickiam Porenan and family of Decatur Harry Foreman of near Berne Susie Walker and family Hattie Gross and family Blanche Foreman and family James M Foreman F C Foreman Wilma Emery and daughter Bettie Wilson Mary Anna Gross Decatur Eliza Thomas Celina Ohio sister Grandma Passon. A fine dinner followed and guests wished him many more birthdays.

Ten trade organizations and more than 150 individuals named as defendants in the action which may spur further prosecutions against combinations of retailers in staple commodities and life necessaries.
The government sues the Eastern States Retail Lumber Dealers Association and its nine local member organizations spanning five states DC and the cities of Baltimore and Philadelphia alleging widespread consumer market manipulation and coercive practices by retailers nationwide.
