Henry Schindler and Miss Mahala Biberstein returned from Leo after a visit with Dan Yoder. J. C. Schug sold his business to C. A. Dimm of Michigan for Crown Chemical stock. M. Sullivan will manage the restaurant. Philip Gerber of Driftwood visited with relatives. plans to leave for Ohio. Rev. PLE Penner in Wayne Ca Ohio recovered enough to be taken to church and preach a 30 minute sermon while seated. The New Jerusalem at Mennonite church drew a good crowd. Elroy Miller and Leonard Baum gathered, demonstrating a homebuilt automobile. Sprunger bought the North Jefferson residence and plans improvements. He expects to move in soon with a young father from Lima.

Five Die In Denver Cloudburst Flooding
Denver reports a cloudburst causing over a million feet of property damage and at least five deaths. Cherry Creek overflowed, flooding about four square miles in north west and south Denver, while other towns report four drownings and extensive street and building destruction and a gas plant outage.
