John Mason travels to Marion to attend the funeral of John Macy son of T B Macy who was killed in a streetcar wreck Wednesday night in Anderson. He will visit relatives in Marion and note mud and farm moves along the route.
Mrs. S. E. Goff of Bluffton Indiana reports kidney trouble relief after using Foley Kidney Pills. She describes back pain irregular kidney action and burning pain easing within days, noting significant overall improvement and recommending the remedy sold by druggists.
In Columbus Grove on December 5, 1911, about 10 inches of snow fell. Births include Noah Basinger to Mr. and Mrs. Basinger on December 2. Mrs. John Crawford died Friday and was buried Monday. Wanda Miller died of typhoid fever Sunday and will be buried tomorrow. she taught eighth grade. Clarence Bastoger and Cora Lora quietly wed last Saturday and left for a honeymoon in Toledo and Michigan.

The statement is sworn to by Rudolph Schug cashier and notarized by Frank C Foreman on December 11 1911.
The Bank of Berne in Adams County Indiana presents its condition as of December 5 1911. Bank officers C A Neuenschwander president J F Seaman vice president Juneau Rupp cashier sign the report with notary Avostreony noting the validity.
In Briceville area near Knoxville Tennessee a dust explosion in the Cross Mountain system entombs a large number of workers at the mine’s main shaft. The mine normally employs about two hundred miners but it is unclear how many were inside when the blast occurred and by afternoon hope for the trapped men had almost vanished.
