Double Anniversary Celebrated for Sprunger Family

A November 29 gathering at J. F. Sprunger home marked his twenty fifth wedding anniversary and his parents fifty ninth. Relatives and friends attended a program with scripture, prayers, poems, remarks by Rev. Sprunger and D. C. Sprunger, plus declamations, a piano solo, and a double quartet. About 45 guests shared a feast, with telegrams from absent relatives, and gifts mainly of silverware. The elderly grandparents, aged 84 and 59 years married, were praised for enduring faith and guidance.

Waterloo Hotel Fire in Auburn Ind Destroys Kelly Hotel

At 1 30 this morning the Waterloo message said the Hotel Kelly formerly Locke hotel and a county landmark was burning and would be a total loss. The operator in the hotel exchange fled as flames spread threatening nearby buildings. Owned by Ab Kelly the frame thirty room hotel burned with loss around 5000 and the cause was not disclosed.

Minnesota and Tennessee Census Figures Released

Minnesota’s population reaches 2,075,708 per the thirteenth census, up 324,314 or 18.5 percent. Tennessee reports 2,184,789 residents, an increase of 164,173 or 8.1 percent.

Obituary for Clyde Leslie Hirachy Born May 1 1910 Died Nov 26 1910

Clyde Leslie Hirachy son of Manes and Stella Hirachy died at six months and twenty six days. He is survived by his father mother and three brothers Virgil Elton and Kenneth along with other relatives. Funeral services were held November 28 1910 at Spring Hill M P church near Berne Indiana conducted by Rev A L Wooten. Interment followed at Spring Hill cemetery.

Purdue Agriculture Short Course Promises One Week Training

Adams County residents are invited to a January 2 to 7, 1911, one week agriculture school in Huntington Indiana hosted by Purdue University School of Agriculture. Courses cover stock and corn judging, dairying, and domestic science with total costs under ten dollars. Admission tickets for the full week are one dollar, available from O. S. Mumma, Adams County Instructor, Decatur Indiana, who emphasizes all proceeds go to the school treasurer.
