Once a Thief film review at the Palace

The Palace hosts Jacques Bar and Ralph Nelson's Once a Thief starring Alain Delon with Ann Margret and Jack Palance. The critic faults the rambling script and uneven cast while noting strong camera work and a promising but unfulfilled plot about a parolee trying to go straight amid heists and police pressure. Delon’s American debut is deemed a bomb, though potential for future work is mentioned.
