Rehabilitation Plan Expands For Sexually Dangerous
Massachusetts officials unveil a broader program to treat sexually dangerous inmates at Bridgewater State Hospital and related facilities. The plan includes 22 correctional officers, extended hours, and renovation of a former correction officer building into a treatment center. Governors Furcolo and lawmakers back the move to separate treatment from custodial care and to allow courts to refer defendants for observation and rehabilitation.
