Du Bois Memorial Park Dedication In Great Barrington
Nostalgic reminiscence by W. E. B. Du Bois recalls his Great Barrington home, the decaying house now a cellar hole, five acres of land to become a memorial park. The project, supported by notable benefactors, highlights Du Bois’s legacy while sparking local controversy over his name. Dedication envisioned for October as supporters preserve the site and distribute reprints to NAACP and scholars.
