Lenox author builds secluded studio in Berkshire woods
Lenox author Stefan Lorant has built a private 16 by 34 foot studio on more than 30 acres along South Mountain Road. The well insulated, electric-heated space includes a kitchen, bath, cherry booklined walls, and a large desk. Lorant works daily from about 9 to 4 or 5 with lunch brought by his wife, using the space to focus away from a busy home life. First copies of his 20 year old book The New World arrive in two weeks ahead of its Oct 22 publication.

The article argues that while construction slows in bad weather, home buying continues year round. Seasons subtly shape buyer mood, with fall buyers preferring warm ambience. It advises seeking extensive ceramic mosaic quarry tile for durability and beauty, noting tile resists winter slush and summer sun, remaining appealing in any season.
