Berkshire Historical Society to restore 1812 house headquar
The Berkshire County Historical Society will begin restoring its new headquarters at 823 North St, the Joseph H. Knight home, after acquiring it last month. Work will remove asbestos siding, demolish the front porch, install six over six sash windows, and repaint the exterior to reveal the building’s original Federal lines and 1792 wing.
