Doomed Oak Said Kilmer Poem Source
The large white oak at Rutgers University, long linked to Joyce Kilmer and his poem Trees, will be cut down on Wednesday as it succumbs to old age. Rutgers officials note the attribution cannot be proven, as Kilmer may have found inspiration elsewhere. If the trunk remains sound, a cross section will be given to the Sgt Joyce Kilmer American Legion Post in New Brunswick.

U S and Canada urged to end invisible trade barriers
A 71 page study by the Canadian American Committee of the National Planning Association calls for removing invisible tariffs created by customs rules in both nations. It cites arbitrary value valuation, misclassifications, antidumping rules, origin marking, and complex administration as dampening trade and causing confusion for importers and exporters. The authors Masson and English urge stronger participation in the International Customs Cooperation Council or a bilateral US Canada agreement on classification and valuation.
