GREAT BARRINGTON The 82 year old Mount Everett golf course on a hill between here and the South Egremont line is being expanded to about 4000 yards over 56 acres making it one of the Easts longest nine hole layouts. New owners Mr and Mrs Edward Fredericks report the course will include four par five holes and a par of 39 with greens enlarged and more trees transplanted to separate fairways. They expect substantial work to continue for about a year as they relocate holes and add water hazards on a course that now draws players from Pittsfield the Berkshires and New York. Green fees currently 1 and 1.50 on weekends may rise with the expanded layout.
