Washington housing starts fell for the sixth straight month in July, with a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.3L million and an 8 percent drop from June’s 1.44 million. Compared to July 1968, July starts were 12.8 percent lower at 1.50 million, with 119,700 actual starts in July. Single family dwellings rose to 739,000, five or more unit structures at 531,000, and two to four unit structures at 66,000.
