Effort Under Way To Halt Stockbridge Motel Addition

A Stockbridge attorney and local citizens plan to urge a temporary halt to a Willow Tree Motel extension until building permit legality is resolved. The town board previously issued a permit for a 128 foot addition costing about 22 to 24 thousand dollars, despite objections that a public hearing was missing and concerns about Rural development bylaws. Donald J. Shaker and attorney Thomas C. Wojtkowski are expected at tonight’s Selectmen meeting to press the issue, with Kalischer and Rud among those consulted.
