Fire Damages Home Attic After Cigarette Ignition
A fire reported at 245 pm Monday at the home of Mr and Mrs Robert Choquette Calumet Street started from a carelessly discarded cigarette according to Fire Inspector Derra J Cushing. The blaze caused heavy charring and smoke damage to the attic and contents including the kitchen and bedroom area where wood shingles burned under asonat composition shingles. At 259 pm another fire involved a battery cable in an automobile delay near Central Station.
