Scenic Corridors Plan For National Scenic Roads
The Johnson Administration pursues a decade long national system of scenic roads and parkways, to be proposed in the President's legislative program. Most routes would reuse existing roads with scenic merit, while new roads would pass through attractive countryside. Strict controls on commercialization would limit signs and ensure facilities blend with the landscape.
