Walter N Heald Dies Town Clerk in Littleton After 47 Years
Walter N Heald, 83, longtime Littleton town clerk for 47 years, died after a long illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at Little Congregational Church. He served as justice of the peace performing nearly 1,000 marriages and recording births for over 3,000 babies. Heald also held multiple local posts including clerk of the village district, secretary-treasurer of Glenwood Cemetery Corp, treasurer of Littleton Hospital, and treasurer of the Littleton Community Center.
