Marcos Lead Unbeatable in Philippines Election Count
Manila reports unofficial tallies show Ferdinand E. Marcos widening his lead for president as Diosdado Macapagal concedes nothing. With about 89 percent of votes counted, Marcos led 3,477,005 to 2,797,990, while vice president races and Congress moved in see-saw. Macapagal questioned tally sheets and awaited official returns.
