Junketeers Deliverer Back From Europe in Plane Ride Home
Congressional junketeers returned from Paris and London aboard an Air Force jet landing at Andrews AFB Maryland amid mixed reception. House restaurant headwaiter Ernest Petinaud accompanied the delegation as a messenger, drawing criticism over his trip and race remarks. Rep Wayne Hays defended the outing, saying expenses were paid from foreign credits and noting Petinaud's role and pay. Newsmen faced limited access and were kept from the landing area by at least one unnamed officer.
