Becket Cub Scout Pack 26 announces its first meeting Friday at 7 30 p m in Becket School auditorium with Josef B Daubenspeck as scoutmaster and Richard J Veen as assistant The executive committee includes Daniel W Millis John L Young Jr Andrew Methe and Hendrik B Hendriks Webelos leader is Robert A Mason and Hubert S Savini represents the institution Den mothers include Mrs Ahlan T Murray Mrs Margaret Stanislas Mrs Hendricks and others The pack will receive its charter and 4 H boys aged 9 and 10 will get Cub Scout pins Sponsored by Becket Volunteer Firemen’s Association A country store will run Saturday 10 a m to 3 p m at the Federated Church parish house under Mrs Stuart Eames Mrs Winston Sayville and Mrs Frank Rice Volunteers sought for arts and crafts classes at the Becket Art Center activities Also Miss Betty C Pormner of Denver visits Miss Ethel Mecum on High Street and plans for a naming contest for the Art Center are invited by box 86.

Washington PTA Sets November Meeting and Open House
The PTA will hold a November meeting at the school with an open house from 7:30 to 8 p.m. where parents meet teachers. District supervisor Denis Duquette will discuss the Central Berkshire Regional School District program. A guidance counselor explains testing results. Parent conferences are set for Wednesday from 3 to 4 30. Additional open houses and a penny social are planned for mid November at local schools with donations accepted after 3 p.m.

Lee Sportsmen Club elects new officers in Lee
Derrick William Lee was elected president of the Lee Sportsmen's Club succeeding Gerald Cahalan. New officers include Joseph Valenti as vice president Anthony Frulla as secretary and J Peter Scolforo as treasurer. Cahalan and Leon Biasin won four year terms on the board.
