Stockbridge Seeks Funds For Children’s Clinic Budget
Dr Gordon Northrup urged Stockbridge School Committee to add 1966 funds for the Berkshire Mental Health Association’s children's clinic. He noted two thirds of costs are state funded, with the town’s share about $526 for 1966, often raised by local drives or in school budgets. He warned lack of funding could force patients to pay full rates or lose services, and asked committee to approve a $926 allocation to support the clinic while local drives continue for the adult clinic. The committee will consider the request during next year’s budget planning.
