Roy H. Sanders Receives Graduate Study Grant
Roy H. Sanders of 69 Appleton Ave and a Lee High School teacher will pursue graduate study in mathematics at the University of Western Michigan with a 2800 stipend. He will serve as a teacher assistant next year. Sanders is a Amesbury High School graduate with degrees from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and the University of Massachusetts. He previously worked as a merchant marine officer for the Cities Service Tanker Corp.

Reading Course Scheduled at Sacred Heart
A reading course for Grades 5 8 will run July 7 through August 1 at Sacred Heart School. Tuition for 50 hours is $30. Director Sister Maria Edwards S J, reading specialist at Cathedral High in Springfield, says the program helps children who read adequately but lack pleasure and productivity and those with specific reading problems. Sessions are Mondays through Fridays 9 to 11 30 am. Application forms are available at Sacred Heart School.
