Valley View Nursing Home Opens for Public Inspection
Lenox plans an open house for the Valley View Nursing Home on Pittsfield Road. The $600,000 100-bed facility features fireproof design, two wings with recreation rooms and chapels, private and shared rooms, TV and telephone outlets, wheel-in showers, a therapy room, barber and hairdressing services, a modern kitchen, laundry, and a nurse station with intercom. Directors Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Furlong of Becket own the home, with Mrs. Arthur R. Dallmeyer as director of nursing. a 45-person staff is planned and licensing is expected Tuesday. Open house tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for public inspection.
