Seven Days in May review at Capitol Theater
The film adaptation of Fletcher Knebel and Charles Bailey’s novel centers on a US military coup plot. Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster anchor a mixed cast. Rod Serling’s script and John Frankenheimer’s direction yield workmanlike suspense but fail to engage as deeply as the book.
