UPI AP report says BST jets and Vietnamese troops stopped a Communist bid to cut South Vietnam in two in Binh Dinh Province 300 miles northeast of Saigon. Viet Cong attacked three outposts, killed and wounded Marines, and lost 63 guerrillas. 18 Viet Namese and U.S. advisers were injured or killed.

GE Plans $1.3 Million Expansion Here by GE
General Electric will invest $1.3 million this year to expand the power transformer department's bushing products unit. Duke of Windsor Undergoes Third Eye Operation
London doctors at the London Clinic performed a third operation on the Duke of Windsor to repair a detached retina in his left eye. A medical bulletin said he was in satisfactory condition. Minister Beating Hurts Three Clerics in Selma Street
