Hinsdale Youth Center Redecorated by Kellogg Volunteers
Hinsdale artist and teacher Murray Kellogg volunteers as unpaid director of the Hinsdale Youth Center and redecorates the old Town Hall interior. Open house on July 11 will showcase a restored foyer, a new cloak room, a mermaid mural, a fully equipped kitchen and director’s office, and colorfully themed game rooms for juniors and seniors. The upstairs gym area gains a refreshment bar, a small basketball court, ballet space, and a cafe atmosphere with orange drapes and autumn-hued bur lap. The Lions Club and Lions Wives supported repairs and decoration, with youth participation acknowledged in invitations of open house.
