Berkshire County Mosquito Control crews, numbering about 25, battle a tough year with unusually warm, humid early May weather. Night fogging and daytime spraying target swampy zones, lakes, and ponds, while keep-up work at 50,000 catch basins and drainage efforts cut breeding sites. Two From Y Camp Return From Small Crafts School
Two Pittsfield YMCA representatives, Robert Hoag and Arthur Deluski of Camp Sumner Day Camp, completed three days at the Y Small Crafts Safety School on Lake Champlain at North Hero VI.
