Auto Tires Hydroplane On Wet Roads
Washington NASA Goddard Flight Research Center reports that car tires skim a water film at speeds above 40 mph, with hydroplaning risk rising after heavy rains. Dr Edward L Weller led the study, noting safe curves up to 51 mph with proper tire pressure.
