ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS N J Suggested retail prices on Volkswagen trucks rose by up to 237 at east coast ports as new U S tariff rates took effect. Central West Coast and Hawaii regions also saw increases while passenger cars were unchanged. Carl H Hahn VW executive cited the need to cover tariff boosts and expressed regret over the price rise.
