High Speed X-Ray Machine In Service at St. Luke's
St Luke's Hospital installed a fully automatic X-ray processor that cuts film development from about an hour to seven minutes. First in Berkshire County, it handles some 60 films per hour and runs an 18 hour day. The unit, 4 by 40 by 36 inches, automates development washing and fixing with automatic temperature control, occupying one third the former dark room space. Small hand processing equipment remains for emergencies. No jobs lost.
