Ailing Infant Prompted Delta Smoking Ban on Flight
About 50 Delta passengers with reservations on a Washington to Houston flight received a notice urging no smoking beyond Baltimore to protect a seriously ill two month old, Francis Edward Grubar, who will use oxygen during the trip for an emergency heart operation. The infant, son of Mr and Mrs Francis Grubar of Washington, lacks a heart artery and will ride in a specialized incubator with a 40 pound oxygen tank. Delta reported all contacted passengers agreed to cooperate.
