Space traffic climbs with 1001 more objects in year
In Cheyenne Mountain near Colorado Springs, ADC airmen logged 1650 man made objects in space in 1969 up from 649 in 1968. SDC's orbit catalog grew to 1851 objects by year end, with 332 decayed to Earth, while US and USSR led the rise in space population including 291 earth satellites and 18 deep space probes for the US.
