United States Loans Yugoslavia 100 Million Aid Plan
The United States pledged a 100 million dollar loan to Yugoslavia to back currency and trade reforms aimed at integrating Yugoslavia with the Western economy. IMF and European nations will add 75 million and about 1090 million respectively, with Yugoslavia moving to a single exchange rate of 750 dinars per dollar and possible tourist rate of 500. European partners include Austria, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Britain and German banks.
