Tools for Freedom aids developing nations with industrial gear
A private group of businessmen named Tools for Freedom began in 1960 shipping metalworking equipment to East Pakistan's St. Joseph's School of Industrial Trades in Dacca. The program, run by Mansfield D. Sprague of American Machine & Foundry Co, collects new and used machinery for technical schools in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. It operates without government involvement and offers tax deductible contributions at full market value.
