Middlefield Aylen Cook Town Faces Candidate Shortage
Middlefield town officials warn of a dearth of candidates as caucus nears Tuesday evening at the school from 7 to 9. Only four have filed for the caucus ballot: John V. Linebaugh for three-year selectman, Neil G. Alickerson for three-year tax collector, Donald A. Lavery for one-year tree warden, and Dr. A. A. Starbuck for three-year Planning Board. Several three-year and one-year terms lack filings, and a two-year Planning Board and Finance Committee seat is open after Ralph P. Clausen’s resignation.
