Woman Appeal Denied To Keep Uphaus Jailed

A New Hampshire judge denied the state’s request to keep pacifist Dr. Willard Uphaus jailed pending compliance with a court order to reveal guest names from a World Fellowship camp. The ruling clears the way for his release from Merrimack County Jail, after he previously refused to turn over the list amid a subversive activities probe. Uphaus cited conscience in his refusals, while officials said the guest list is sought for investigation.
