WMEC Plans New Facilities To Restore Power Swiftly
WMEC unveiled plans for a 345 kilovolt transmission line to accompany a Northfield Mountain pumped hydro plant. The project would restore electric service within minutes after a blackout, with the line running from Northfield through nine towns to Ludlow.
