Morningside Baptist To Dedicate Educational Center
Morningside Baptist Church will dedicate its new educational center tomorrow with services at 4 PM. The two story red brick addition on Grove Street frees space in the main church and serves babes in arms through adult programs with 150 Sunday students and 50 volunteers. The project cost 136000 dollars and was designed by Prentice Bradley and built by David J Tierney Jr. A grassy plot between the education wing and church will be developed in summer.

Medicare Bill To Stimulate Nursing Home Construction
The Medicare Law is expected to boost the economy and the construction industry by funding extended care in nursing homes after hospital stays. It outlines 20 days of post hospital care with full government costs, then $5 daily for up to 80 days with remaining costs covered by the patient. Plans for hundreds of centers and retirement communities emerge, with post hospital facilities charging $7.50 to $15 daily and builders projecting major growth in the sector. Optional voluntary medical insurance for those over 45 adds $3 monthly plus the first $50 annually, potentially reducing private plans and rents by as much as $20 monthly, making retirement communities more attractive.

Buyers Seek Quality in New Homes
Aldo Martin of Alcan Aluminum Corp. says future home buyers will demand maintenance free, high quality materials as builders respond with aluminum siding copper piping and better insulation. Rising labor costs narrow the price gap between acceptable and quality builds, encouraging buyers to trade up with higher amortization costs seen as cheap insurance.
