Two experts warned that developing feasible electric cars will not eliminate environmental pollution. They said power for electric motors must come from generating plants that produce their own pollution, and even a breakthrough would still alter the environment.

AT&T Seeks Rate Reduction On Long Distance Calls
AT&T proposes reduced rates for out-of-state long distance calls over 200 miles, claiming annual savings around 150 million dollars. The plan includes a three-minute coast-to-coast call for 99 cents from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. and a one-minute call for 35 cents from midnight to 8 a.m., compared with a current 75 cent minimum.
