Youth Corps funds halved for Boston
Boston faces a funding cut to the Neighborhood Youth Corps reducing projected federal support from 2.1 million to about 1 million for the coming year. The program, run by ABCD, would drop from 2500 youths to 1200 ages 16 to 21, many of them school dropouts earning 1.25 per hour.
