Waltham Firm Under Inquiry In AF Contract
Washington AP A House probe into a $1.5 million Air Force contract with Tyco Laboratories Inc of Waltham Massachusetts continues. Rep Porter Hardy Jr says the deal has a shady element and scrutiny focuses on letting procedures possible conflicts of interest and contractor capacity. The Rosenberg brothers Tyco officials and Norman W head of the Air Force lab are named in the alleged conflicts. An eight member evaluation team rated Tyco highest and Duffy of the Air Force judge advocate raised questions about legality and competition.
