Nixon picks Haynsworth for Supreme Court seat
Washington AP reports Federal Judge Clement F. Haynsworth Jr. is Nixon's choice to fill the Fortas vacancy on the Supreme Court. Sources say he is being considered along with other judges as a White House review continues. A Senate hearing is planned for Sept. 9 after the recess.
