Washington A L President Johnson named Edward M McEntee of Providence Rhode Island to be a judge of the U S Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston He would succeed Judge Felix Woodbury who retired McEntee 58 a Providence native earned his law degree from Boston University in 1993 He also attended Harvard Law School two years and Holy Cross AB in 1938 He has served in the Rhode Island Legislature taught at Providence College and was United States attorney for Rhode Island 1952 38 He has been in private practice in Providence McEntee is a Democrat married with seven children.
