Burned-Out Shore Club Back in Business
The West Shore Sportsmen's Club is thriving this summer after rebuilding post fire. Pontoosue Lake club, nearly wiped out in 1956, reopened with a new dining room and a Riviera Cruiser. Walter J. Wigglesworth and his wife, founders since 1947, celebrate 43 years of marriage with five children and many grandchildren. About 400 gathered at Polish Falcon Hall for a party presenting the Wigglesworths with club equipment for a new place. The club offers free use of facilities to members for events, with no outside caterers allowed, while the Ambulance Corps benefit dinner is planned for Aug. 47. The cruiser and dining room enhance the club, now hosting gatherings, meals, and fishing stories from the bar’s free fish and game.

The system supports glass from above with clamps and epoxy seals, eliminating frames for unobstructed views. It adds wind and vibration resistance and keeps intact glass after breakage, with 844 by 10 foot Starlux panes installed by Lea Sparks Co. of New York.
