ADA argues sales tax would yield far less than touted

Massachusetts ADA says a 3 percent sales tax would produce about 115.5 million annually, far below proponents' 150 million. They break down 100.2 million from consumer purchases, 15.7 million from business, and 4 million from use taxes, with 2 percent rebates and 2 percent admin costs reducing distributable funds to cities and towns.

Strikes Against Military Installations Of Hanoi Regime

The U S Air Force reports two months of air raids on North and South Viet Nam yielded major military successes. About 1 400 tons of bombs and rockets struck 26 targets since February 7, with 12 U S Air Force jets, 10 U S Navy planes, and four Vietnamese air force planes lost. Despite heavy anti aircraft fire, population centers were largely avoided. Bomber strikes aim to slow Viet Cong supply lines and pressure Hanoi to curb support for the Viet Cong, possibly pushing North Vietnam toward a primitive economy to expel American forces.
