Police reported a series of incidents including a 12 year old Roger Phillips taken to Pittsfield General Hospital after a fall at home on Circular Avenue. Local Men Indicted by Federal Jury in Pittsfield
Martin Dichner, 48, doing business as American Shade & Blind Co., and Emilio Landy, 47, both of Pittsfield, were indicted by a Federal Grand Jury. They allegedly submitted false statements in a Federal Housing Administration home improvement loan. Dichner allegedly certified no rebate was promised while $825 was promised. Landy allegedly stated loan proceeds would fund home improvements while $835 was promised as a rebate. FBI led the investigation. penalties include up to two years in prison or a $3,040 fine, or both.
