Meeting of Friends of the 40th RNT at Court House

A meeting held Tuesday evening to start a petition to the governor and war department to keep the 20th regiment from Cuba as an army of occupation. An organization was formed with Crawford as chairman Metcalf secretary and Bickel treasurer. A circular letter will be sent to other parts of the state and further meetings planned after replies.
