North Dakota dairymen gather for a dairy convention urging diversified farming to boost prosperity. The speaker compares farming to manufacturing and argues co operative creameries finish butterfat locally to maximize profits, noting Todd county had none 15 years ago but now has multiple creameries.
Mr and Mrs M P Cosby returned from a two week auto trip visiting Ft Grant Gila Valley Globe Miami Roosevelt Dam Mesa Phoenix Florence and Tucson. They report Ft Grant school progressing with an electric plant repairs to buildings and two new dormitories as part of a cottage system plan. The mission notes the farm and trades development and hoped water would reach Benson canal soon. Edwin Rowley and wife returned from Salt Lake City with a new home at Powers place northeast corner. W W Judd heads to Mesa seeking a location. J T Proffitt adds to his house. S J Johnson performs jury duty. Alvah Fenn returns from Columbus New Mexico by auto.
The El Paso to Phoenix race cars depart El Paso on November 2 at 6 00 AM and depart Bisbee on November 3 at 5 30 AM with arrivals in Tombstone around six o clock. Benson observers can see racers between Tombstone and Fairbank early Monday morning. A London ticker mishap turned school children into schooldren, a term now picked up by newspapers.

Mrs S N Wilson received a telegram from Coryme Texas stating that her granddaughter Annie Lee McMains about eleven years old died that morning. Mrs Wilson left Thursday night to attend burial services Sunday afternoon. The girl had recently moved with her parents and attended Benson school where she was well known in the community.
Elias Summers, acting in place of Foreman Martin, has been supervising limited road repairs near town. A washed out culvert on the down river road between the railroad and Harman place has been fixed, with work shifted to the east side road. The county engineer warns that continued rain damage makes road improvement a major challenge and urges strong effort to restore travel.
Messrs Meriwether and Mowbray photographers have located in Benson at part of the Signal building. They guarantee quality or no charge and will take sittings with Kodak film developing and finishing offered to all. They come from Patagonia and aim to stay through the winter. Henry Lilley accused of embezzling about 1400 dollars from Cochise County State Bank has with help from friends restored the deficit. The bank was fully protected and the affair ends favorably. The note adds a line about work for the Creamery.
A canvass by C. E. Goetz shows enough milking cows in the area to begin a dairy enterprise. Success hinges on full cooperation of farmers, with Cochise County State Bank ready to assist in financing cows wells and equipment to get the venture started.
Mrs. David Williams and her children were outdoors when an Airedale owned by the family turned aggressive. Mrs. Williams drove the dog away to protect a child and was bitten multiple times. Mr. Williams killed the dog and a doctor treated her. The dog's head was sent to Phoenix for rabies testing.
