A Tucson meeting of principal operators last night decided on a substantial raise in wages for Warren district workers. Details are being worked out in conference, with the July 15 start noted. The raise will cover miners and office staff as copper prices rise.
As the dry regime looms, grape growers in California and Ohio shift to making grape juice jam jelly and syrup with higher profits than wine. Grain hops and other liquor-related producers follow suit selling to temperance drinks and food products.
