A noon ceremony at the Long home in Nogales Arizona united Virgil Long and Miranda White of Sonoita in marriage. The bride’s sister Mrs Jno Colver attended with Colver as escort, and the couple are well known in Santa Cruz County. The groom grew up in Nogales and the bride hails from a prominent Sonoita farming family. They recently moved to the Woodruff place near Sonoita station. Nogales Oasis.

Death of Wesley Peake at Santa Rita NM

New Year morning news from Dragoon reports the death of Wesley Peake son of Mr and Mrs A F Peake. He died of pneumonia contracted during a stay with his sister and husband Mr and Mrs L F Walker. Interment was in Santa Rita. His parents and two sisters survive.

Alien Enmity Reported Near Shaw Ranch At Vail

The Tucson Star reports that a deputy marshal received word of an alien enemy operating in the Shaw ranch area near Vail. Two hogs and two cows were poisoned by the alleged visitor who worked in the district and then vanished. He was said to be seen sewing phials into his vest.

Burglary at Denney's Second-Hand Store

A thief broke into Denney's second-hand store during a 6 to 7 pm absence of the proprietor Friday. The burglar entered by forcing a loosened lock and door but fled when interrupted. A flashlight was taken. a revolver on a table was moved to safety by Mr. Denney. No other items were stolen.

Two men from Tucson returning from a river job hit a ditch after dark, the Ford plunging in and turning a somersault. One man landed in sand, the other escaped from under the car. both were not seriously hurt and left town for Tucson after temporary repairs.
